Insurance & Payment

At Inner Wave Therapy, we believe access to care should be clear and transparent. Below, you’ll find details about the insurance plans we accept, out-of-network billing, and payment policies.

Accepted Insurance Plans

We are in-network with the following insurance providers in California:

  • Aetna

  • United Healthcare (UHC)

  • Optum

  • Carelon Behavioral Health

  • Quest Behavioral Health

How Insurance Works with Therapy

Using your insurance for therapy at Inner Wave Therapy is simple. We work directly with your insurance company to verify your benefits and provide any necessary documentation. Our team is here to assist you in understanding your coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and session limits.

Please note that insurance coverage varies by plan. We recommend contacting your provider or reaching out to us for a benefits check to confirm your specific coverage.

Why Choose Therapy with Insurance Coverage?

  • Affordable Care: Insurance helps lower your direct costs, making quality therapy more affordable.

  • Access to Licensed Professionals: Our therapists are fully licensed and experienced in working with a range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and relationship challenges.

  • Convenient Billing: We handle insurance claims so you can focus on your well-being without paperwork stress.

Out-of-Network Coverage

If we are not in-network with your insurance, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance provider. Many PPO plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network services.

We’re happy to walk you through the process and help you verify your benefits.

Why Use Out-of-Network Insurance?

While Inner Wave Therapy accepts several major insurance plans, we also welcome clients using out-of-network benefits. Choosing out-of-network therapy offers several advantages:

  • Greater Provider Choice: Out-of-network coverage allows you to work with therapists who may not be in your insurance’s preferred network but offer specialized expertise tailored to your unique needs.

  • Flexible Scheduling: Often, out-of-network providers have more availability and can accommodate your preferred appointment times.

  • Confidentiality and Privacy: Some clients prefer out-of-network therapy to maintain greater privacy, as fewer claims are submitted through insurance.

  • Reimbursement Opportunities: Many insurance plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network services. Our team can assist you with the necessary documentation and superbills for easy claim submission.
