Psychological Clinical Training

Updated March, 2026
Positions Available: (1) Psychological Associate

Inner Wave Therapy offers part-time and full-time Psychological Assistant Fellowship opportunities for pre-doctoral and post-doctoral clinicians registered with the California Board of Psychology. Our program provides advanced clinical training, supervision, and mentorship for Psychological Assistants seeking experience in private practice, with a strong emphasis on ADHD assessment, ADHD-informed psychotherapy, and neurodivergent-affirming clinical care.

Our fellowship is especially well-suited for clinicians interested in working with ADHD, executive functioning challenges, attention and concentration difficulties, and co-occurring anxiety, depression, and trauma presentations. Fellows gain hands-on experience supporting clients with ADHD across the lifespan, with a focus on both diagnostic conceptualization and depth-oriented treatment planning.

Training is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy, depth psychology, existential therapy, humanistic psychology, and intersubjective approaches, while integrating contemporary ADHD clinical frameworks, including executive functioning models and neurodiversity-affirming practice.

Located in California, Inner Wave Therapy is a boutique group practice committed to high-quality clinical training in a warm, flexible, and independent environment. Fellows receive close supervision and real-world private practice experience while developing confidence in ADHD-informed case conceptualization and treatment.

We value both clinical rigor and personal development. In addition to strengthening diagnostic and therapeutic skills—particularly in ADHD and related presentations—we support each fellow’s growth as a reflective, grounded, and authentic clinician. Our aim is to foster not only competence, but a deeply attuned therapeutic presence in working with neurodivergent and neurotypical clients alike.
